Together, our Customer and Digital Coworker will improve their service levels throughout the 2023 Open Enrollment Period (OEP) by removing the manual effort – and manual errors – around their premium payments and marketplace lookup processes.
The Digital Coworker streamlines accounts payable by ensuring timely processing that both policyholders and our Customer can rely on regularly. In addition, the Digital Coworker performs 15,000 marketplace and insurance carrier verifications each month. Essentially, the Digital Coworker completes a monthly check for each policyholder, to determine whether coverage is still in force with their health insurance carrier or Medicare provider. This helps our Customer monitor and improve policyholder retention.
This expanded partnership between our Customer and Roots Automation is indicative of the insurance industry’s push for increased efficiency – and a better policyholder experience.
Our Customer chose to augment their partnership with Roots Automation because of the Digital Coworker’s ability to read, think and problem-solve like their human employees. Additionally, their team is able to work closely and directly with the Digital Coworker without delegating work to their IT team, thanks to patented Human-in-the-Loop technology.

Our Customer originally partnered with Roots Automation to streamline open enrollment applications with data extraction, validation and indexing. At the end of the 2022 Open Enrollment Period, the Digital Coworker straight-through processed 87% of health insurance enrollments.
