Traditionally, the underwriting team receives the submission, identifies key information and manually enters the data into the underwriting/policy system. More, the underwriter may require additional data from a third party to support the assessment.​

In this future state, the Digital Coworker pulls business submissions from a dedicated location and uses InsurGPTTM to classify each document type, then extract key information (such as company name, previous policy number, amounts paid, date of previous claim etc), identify missing information and follow-ups up via email, then finally, enters the data into the underwriting/policy system.​

Further, the Digital Coworker will automatically reach out to third party data sources or bureaus for additional data to supplement inhouse information.​

The Digital Coworker notifies the underwriting team, via the Roots Cockpit, that a submission is ready for review.​

The underwriting assistant uses the Roots Cockpit to communicate with and assist the Digital Coworker in finalizing the submission package.

Finally, when the submission package is complete, the underwriter is notified, reviews the package and sends the quote to the broker/agent.​
